Shape CHALLENGE

Turning raw rainfall data into something people can feel and use.

Working with Rotterdam rainfall-data startup Sky Echo, our multidisciplinary team explored how weather information could improve urban living. My role combined interface design, user research, and prototype testing.

Shape APPROACH

A virtual garden grounded in the real city.

People plant virtual seeds tied to real locations, while live rainfall guides growth and placement. Collecting and exchanging seeds creates a playful reason to notice weather patterns and build shared awareness.

Shape PROCESS

Research, testing, and a decisive pivot shaped the final experience.

Interviews and on-the-spot testing began with physical, business-oriented concepts. When the pandemic changed public life, we pivoted toward a gamified digital prototype that made abstract environmental data accessible and experientially relevant.
